Fun for Each and Every One! 

Several fun events are planned for conference attendees to connect with each other during the Spring Conference in Duluth. We hope to see you there!

Thursday April 20th 7:00-9:00

    • Registration opens in the Edmund Fitzgerald Exhibit Hall
    • Social Hour  – a time to meet and connect with other conference attendees
    • Appetizers will be served, sponsored by STEMscopes and Math Nation 
    • A cash bar will be available 
    • CONNECT will also host their Annual Event in the Gooseberry Falls which will include a light dinner and door prizes
      • CONNECT is for Pre-Service and teachers in their first 5 years to PreK-12+ math community

Friday April 21st
5:15 – 6:00 Regional Meetings

    • There are eight geographic regions of Minnesota which represent the region in which you live. This region number is printed on your name tag. 
    • During the Regional Meetings, you will have the opportunity to meet with people from your region to connect about mathematics and how MCTM can support. 

5:45 – 7:00  Minnesota Math Mixer in Ballroom J/K, formerly known as the President’s Reception

    • New this year…Affinity Groups 
      • Affinity Groups enable members to come together and build connections based on shared characteristics or interests
      • Tables in the Ballroom will have signs designating the following Affinity Groups: ABE, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), BTC, Calculus, Computer Science, CONNECT, Elementary, High School, Interventionists, LGTBQIA+ and allies, Middle School, MDE Assessments, MinnMATYC, Teachers of Multilingual Students, Teachers of Students with Disabilities 
    • Dinner will consist of four stations: 
      • Station One – Chicken Fajita Bar
      • Station Two – Charcuterie Board
      • Station Three – Penne Pasta with assorted peppers, mushrooms, and red onion with a light creamy alfredo sauce
      • Station Four – Roast New York Strip served with grilled ciabatta, horseradish sauce, brown mustard and mayonnaise

7:15 – 8:45 Delegate Assembly in Harbor Side 3rd Floor

    • If you are interested in attending the delegate assembly, please contact your Region Director. 
    • Come and enjoy the Strolling Sundae Buffett and discuss our annual financial and membership reports, as well as discuss and vote on new resolutions
    • All delegates who register with their Region Director and attend the Delegate Assembly will receive a $20 gift certificate to the NCTM booth to use at the Spring Conference.
