Presenter:  Jessica Strom, Win-e-Mac Schools

The Thinking Classroom, researched by Peter Liljedahl, is a set of 14 practices that transforms students from mimickers to active thinkers, teachers from lecturers to guides, and classrooms from sit-and-get to discovery-and-interaction. The journey to transform can be gradual (start with the first three practices a couple times a week), but the transformations you see will be immediate. During the two-day workshop we will take a deep dive into all 14 practices of the Thinking Classroom. We will practice, experience and analyze each practice, and also learn how to schedule the transformation. Participants will leave ready to begin or expand their Thinking Classroom practice.

There are three options to attend this session in-person:

1. In-person with Jessica at Hopkins West Middle School, 3830 Baker Rd, Minnetonka, MN 55305

2 . In-person facilitated session at Lakeview School, 875 Barstad Road, Cottonwood, MN 56229, Room 253

3.  In-person facilitated session at Dillon Elementary, 3795 Division St., Bemidji, Mn 56601
