Greetings, Fellow Minnesota Math Teachers,

We are delighted to invite you to the Minnesota Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) Spring Conference 2026, a dynamic gathering focused on exploring current ideas and innovations in mathematics education.

This year’s theme:

Aligning Standards in Context, Culture, and Community: Advancing the 2022 MN Math Standards

Mark your calendars and begin the Professional Development request process!

Kicking off the conference will be Dr. Anton Treuer, Bemidji State University Professor of Ojibwe and author of many books, during Friday's opening session.  For our closing session, we're thrilled to welcome Christopher Danielson, Talking Math With Your Kids and Math On-A-Stick at the MN State Fair.

The MCTM Spring Conference Committee is calling for proposals for sessions at the MCTM 2026 Spring Conference, April 24 through 25. The theme is: Aligning Standards in Context, Culture, and Community. We are excited to invite members to share their learning and experiences with our statewide community.

When you are ready, Use this form to submit your proposal. You do not need to have the whole session completely planned out to send a proposal, just a description. Proposals are due January 2nd, 2026, but there is a free registration fee prize drawing for those who submit before December 6th.

WHERE: Duluth, DECC on Harbor Side

COST:  1-4 participants $230 per person, after 4 registrations from the same district/group, the  next 5 or more participants are at $185. One free administrator registration for every four 4 registrations.

Limit of 10 registrations per district

Are you struggling to find a Minnesota Math link or Resource? Try starting with the One-stop shop google doc that links to Minnesota Math standards, assessment links, videos and more.  On this page you will find an updated 2025-26 PD calendar and information on MDE office hours. It is recommended you bookmark this page as it is updated often. ProTip ‘Ctrl F’ or ‘Command F’ allows you to FIND a word you are looking for on the document.

The MN Math Leaders Group has its own page on the MCTM website.  More information will be coming to this page soon.  Did you know it is FREE to join this group?  Find the link to join the group on this page and please share with others.  We are on a mission to have at least one person from all 500+ MN school districts connected to this group.  

As a reminder, the MN Math Leader group has monthly PLC meetings on the 3rd Tuesday (from 12:30-2:30 p.m) and 3rd Thursday’s (from 4-6 p.m.).  This group is open to all MN Math teachers and district leaders. November’s PLC dates are November 19th and 21st.

Exciting news about the SciMathMN STEM Teacher Center.  The Vision for the SciMathMN Stem Teacher Center envisions a vibrant, future-focused hub that empowers every K-12 STEM educator in Minnesota through innovation, collaboration, andr real-world connection.  

In order for this vision to be fulfilled, we need several MN educators to support this work by serving as active members on the SciMathMN Board.
